Chia Seed Pudding and Our Logo Journey: Disco Mammas, Evolution Mammas, Boobie Mammas…

HealthyMammas have been busy, busy, busy trying to find a new logo for our site.  After many, MANY revisions by at least 10 designers, we have settled on one.  Oh my gosh, SO happy!  Check out our new website for a new look and feel.  We are not there yet, but we are getting closer.  HealthyMammas has a lot of possibilities and we are so excited to watch it evolve!

Our journey, to find a logo we were happy with, was not an easy one.  We had some AWESOME options, and some not so awesome options.  When we found our Rockstar, Shana, we knew she was the one.  Contact us if you’d like to work with her.  She is seriously AMAZING!

Here are some of the funnier examples of people bidding for our business.

Don’t get me wrong.  All of us Mammas have had our disco days…but this website was not intended to bring back those memories.  Can anyone say Club A – Trash Disco Sunday nights?  Wooo wooo, it’s a party with an apple in my hand!!!!!   ;)

Disco Mammas?

Next, we have – Evolution Mammas??    Bunny Hop Mammas?  I have a lot of words for this one – but I won’t even go there.  Keep in mind people from all over the world were bidding for our work.  I actually really like the fonts here.  But, the design is a little - different.  :)

Evolution? Huh?

And, finally:

Boobie Mammas??

HEALTHY Mammas – not BOOBIE Mammas??   Really?  In all fairness, like I said above, people from around the world were bidding – so in another far away country, apparently Mammas = Mammary Glands??  Thank you for trying, my friend, but not really the look we were going for!  :)

We ended up with exactly what we were looking for.  Fun  – Sassy – Healthy – Feminine – you can see one version on the website – and here is another version that will actually be on T-Shirts very soon -

Yes! HM Logo!

Let us know if you’d like one – because we are ordering soon and have a feeling they will go fast.  :)

I leave you with one of my favorite dessert recipes – this is just so wonderful!  I’ll post the benefits of Chia Seeds in another post – I’m running out of battery on my laptop….and time, as my in-laws want me to make them another batch of Vitamix margaritas!!  :)     (3 parts Republic Margarita mix < it’s just lime juice + cane sugar, and found in the refrigerated section>  1 part silver tequila and 1/4 part gran marnier – and a lot of ice; blend well)

Chia Seed “Tapioca” Pudding

3/4 cup chia seeds
2 cups almond milk – add more or less, depending on the consistency you desire, but it should look something like the pic below
Tiny dash salt
Small dash of Stevia and vanilla extract to taste

Stir it until it begins to thicken and then put it in the fridge for a couple of hours.

Then, Enjoy.  :)   Happy Monday – Happy Summer – Happy Everything!  :)

About Kim

I am the mother of two wonderful kiddos, Allen and Zane - and happily married to Lance (HealthyDaddy). :) I love learning about healthy eating and my journey led me to finding a way to keep all of this truly exciting information in one place. I found that I was forgetting recipes that I loved a year ago - or misplacing them. This website is a way to keep it together, while sharing with the world (Or the 5 people who will read this!) what I have learned. I'm trying to change the world...or at least our eating habits...one meal at a time. :)
