Veggie Burger Salad, Lululemon and Happy 4th of July !

Well it’s another 100+ degree day in Texas !  If another person asks me “Is it hot enough for you today?” I may scream !

Just made the most delicious salad…spinach, organic veggies (red bell pepper, cucumbers, carrots, celery), and some farm fresh goat cheese with a crumbled veggie burger on top.  By the way, if you haven’t tried Sunshine Veggie Burgers…you must !  They are delicious…they are vegan, soy-free, gluten-free but not taste-free !  My favorite flavors are Southwest and Original but they are all good.

After lunch, it was time for some retail therapy !
Anyone love LULULEMON as much as I do ? I have a serious addiction !  However, I figure it’s way cheaper than real therapy so I’m actually saving money :)  If you like to workout, you must try their clothes ! They are the most comfortable and most flattering workout line I have ever worn.  Everything from their cute tees (Willpower short sleeve tech is my favorite) to their tanks, shorts, pants (they come in LONG which this 5’11″ girl loves), their running skirts (which are perfect to play tennis in)…they are all so comfy and cute!    I love to lounge around in their cropped pants and a basic tee….feels like you’re in pajamas !

Check them out at www.lululemon.com … they always have FREE SHIPPING !

OK off to get dressed for date night with the hubby tonight…pizza and vino at Coal Vines :)

I will leave you with a couple more pictures …my sweet girl all ready for 4th of July !!

About Jennifer

I am the mother of 2 beautiful children, Presley-7 and Cash-5 and married to an amazing husband and father, Todd. I have always thought of myself as a healthy person...I've always loved sports, working out and eating healthy. However, looking back, I've actually had a lot of unhealthy habits. I've tried every diet out there : Low fat (How did I think eating a box of fat free snackwells cookies was healthy?), Low carb (can you say fried pork skins GROSS)... as well as a long stint with disordered eating which started in college as a way to avoid those "freshman 15".
Well it wasn't until my 30s that I realized those kind of diets are just a quick fix, not a lifestyle. I think all foods can fit into a healthy diet as long as you practice moderation. I have found that I feel and look my best when I am eating mostly plant-based foods. Not to say I won't indulge in a filet every now and again... but I find that I crave meat less and less ! I have recently been fascinated with trying new vegetarian recipes...I NEVER thought I could give up chicken...used it eat it everyday, but I actually don't miss it at all.
I am trying to pass these healthy eating habits onto my children so they can avoid some of the diseases related to unhealthy diets.

Thanks for reading and hope you have a healthy day !!!!

This sounds sooo good! Thank you for sharing. I’m actually looking for veggie recipes for my blog post, because July 4th also celebrates independence from meat! If you could make a comment on my blog post about this that would be great! http://www.cherylstyle.com/blog/2011/6/28/this-fourth-of-july-get-fired-up-with-a-smokin%27-salad!.aspx Thank you!
